“ It was not my intention to eat a whole pizza in one sitting but my experience at Oh Brother went better than expected. ENVIRONMENT Oh Brother has two different entrances. There's a separate building for their cheesesteak offerings and another for their pizza restaurant. In a rush to cure my hunger, I settled on the pizza spot which was a tiny shop that seated no more than 10-12 people. There was an ample amount of tables situated in front of the Market Street window offering above average people watching opportunities. FOOD As noted earlier, it was not my intention to eat a whole pizza in one sitting but their BBQ chicken pizza delivered! There was a perfect balance between tangy and sweet with a nice crunch as their pizza offerings are thin slice. There are quite a few places to eat in this particular sector of Market Street but OH Brother is the perfect spot for a quick bite. Happy eats! ”
“ A late-night, must-have! Flew in late to Philadelphia, and this place was open for a great Philly cheesesteak! We got the classic Philly cheesesteak, but subbed a seated roll. Also had the spicy chicken sandwich. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had! Very meaty, and not too spicy. Also had the truffle fries with the truffle aïoli mayonnaise- these were incredible! ”
“ TLDR: It's a nice restaurant that's a good pitstop for people on the go. The food options look good, and the food is decent. French Onion Cheese Steak: I'm not sure if the rest of the world is catching up or if I overhyped this aura of a cheesesteak in Philadelphia, but I thought the sandwich was fine. The bread was solid, the beef was decent, the onions were good, and the cheese helped put things together. I guess I was just expecting that Philly was hiding some sort of dark art that made their cheese steaks a step above the rest. I was a bit concerned that the sandwich would be on the salty side, given the ingredients used, but I'm glad that it wasn't the case. Service: It's pretty good. The food arrived pretty quickly, and the staff were very nice. Ambiance: The restaurant had a "modern log cabin" feel that I learned that I'm a fan of. Big doors allowed plenty of natural light to come in, and there was plenty of space inside with the tables spaced out nicely. ”
“ This was my FIRST stop for cheesesteaks in PHILLY since I was staying at a Hostel nearby and I love it!! I didn't get the traditional cheesesteaks, I got their French onions cheesesteaks and their Garlic Parmesan fries and they were both Amazing!!! When they brought me the food, I could smell the deliciousness coming from the garlic fries, smells like heaven. The buns was nice and soft and not chewy, love the onions and the shredded meat make the whole sandwich more juicy and not dry. I love the interior, they have plenty of seating table, which is why I choose this place over the nearby places cuz they don't have a large dinning area as this one. I love this place so much that I went back the next day to try their Mac N Cheese Heaven Burger!! It was another amazing masterpiece crafted by the pros. I don't think I need to visit Genos and Pats cuz I heard people told me they are now a tourists trap. But I will give them a try, i doubt they will be better than Oh Brothers. ”
“ Oh Brother Philly is a little more than just a cheesesteak spot. They serve up burgers, chicken sandwiches, fried Oreos, shakes, and more. But I came for the cheesesteak. So that's what ordered. Cheesesteak with onions and cooper sharp: they leave the steak in solid pieces and melt the cheese nicely onto the steak. The first couple bites are unfortunately all bread but towards the middle the cheesesteak really started to hit its stride with delicious ribeye. My only complaint is the Italian roll they use is slightly too big for the amount of steak. Still a solid cheesesteak. Mac n Cheese: I felt the same about this dish. First couple bites and I was slightly disappointed.. But it started to hit its stride after the third bite and I enjoyed it. Overall a solid choice for cheesesteak and other food. I love the piece of art they have on the wall of The Last Cheesesteak. ”
“ Great spot near the water in Philly. The decor was super Philly niche and ordering was easy. My son gave kudos to the staff for treating him kindly as a first time orderer. He also enjoyed the burger while the rest of my group devoured cheesesteaks and fries. I'd opt for the steak fries over the parm fries. I wish there was a little more seating and proactive cleaning of tables but I assume it's hard to stay on top of with the diner turnover. It would be cool if they could sell some alcoholic bevs BUT all and all a great experience. ”
“ This place was recommended to my family by our Airbnb host because we were in search for the a really good cheesesteak. We did extensive research and had a list of other popular restaurants, but figured it would be best to ask a local, and as a result we went to Oh Brother he only expectation we had was that we wanted to eat a really good authentic cheesesteak. At Oh Brother The customer service was incredible. You could tell that every staff member plays an important part in why they have a steady crowd. There was a line, but again, because the staff was great it went by quickly. I ordered a regular cheesesteak with American cheese, onions, and peppers. I also got a fountain beverage and a large order of fries. My total was around 25 dollars. The food came out fairly quick in my opinion given how busy they were and the staff took it to our table. I mean, I have nothing fair to compare this cheesesteak to, but it was incredible. The bread was so fresh, lightly toasted, but still soft. There was a perfect cheese to meet ratio, and enough peppers and onions. I usually like to split sandwiches in half to save for later but I ate it in it's entirety. The fries were perfectly crisp and soft, but I do suggest getting a small if you don't plan to share. Everything was great and I am happy with my experience at Oh Brother. I would recommend it over and over to anyone curious about authentic cheesesteaks. ”
